Day 1: Welcome to St. Thomas! Your complimentary taxi will be waiting at the airport to bring you to American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook, St. Thomas. The captain will greet you, give you a tour of the boat and help you get settled in before your 10am departure. Your vacation will begin with a short trip up to Maho Bay, St. John to swim with Turtles and have lunch on the boat. After lunch, we will sail to West End, Tortola to clear in through BVI customs and then head straight to Norman Island to grab a mooring ball. Off of Norman Island you will experience some of the BVI’s most incredible snorkeling at The Caves. This snorkeling spot consists of three caves, all populated with colorful fish and bright coral lining their walls. Dinner the first night will be on Norman Island at Pirates Bight Restaurant. If you are tired from your first day of activities you can opt for a relaxing dinner on the boat.
Day 2: Wake up in The Bight of Norman Island and enjoy a nice breakfast on the boat. Before leaving Norman Island you’ll get to experience two more spectacular snorkeling spots. The Indians consists of four rocky pinnacles rising about 50’ about the water. The surrounding area is teeming with reef fish and coral. The Aquarium of Norman Island is a rocky formation which is believed to be the result of volcanic eruptions. Its crevices provide the perfect hiding place for various sea creatures. After snorkeling, we will head motor East to Great Harbor, Peter Island and hang at Willy T’s Floating Pirate Ship Bar and Restaurant for lunch and drinks. When you’ve had your fill of Willy T’s we will visit Salt Island for a final snorkel of the day at the Wreck of the Rhone. This British ship has been sitting at the bottom of the ocean since it’s sinking in 1867. That evening we will continue on to Cooper Island where we will spend the night on a mooring ball. Enjoy an amazing dinner that night at Cooper Island Beach Club, a beautiful family owned Eco-Resort.
Day 3: Get underway early and motor East up to The Baths of Virgin Gorda. You will want a full day’s time to explore the magnificent rock structure. This geological wonder is comprised of awe-inspiring granite boulders, which form sheltered sea pools on the beach's edge. Climb the boulders, hike the trails and snorkel the rocky shoreline of this mile long stretch. That evening enjoy a beach front dinner at Virgin Gorda’s beautiful Coco Maya Restaurant and Lounge.
Day 4: This morning we will head North East as we motor up to Richard Branson’s private island, Necker Island, for the Gumption’s Learning Adventure Eco-Tour. This once-in-a-lifetime tour includes up close and personal encounters with lemurs, giant tortoises, flamingos, and other exotic creatures. Necker Island will for sure be a highlight of the trip. After the tour, we will head back to Virgin Gorda where we will spend the afternoon snorkeling or lounging on the beach. You may choose to visit the upscale Resort Oil Nut Bay for an exceptional lunch with extraordinary views. If you are looking for something more low key, head to Leverick Bay and Marina. There you will find a variety of dining options, live entertainment and more. We recommend having dinner that evening at Hog Heaven. They are known for their amazing bbq, great service and spectacular view of the North Sound.
Day 5: After breakfast on the boat, we will motor further North East to Anegada. Here your Captain will secure a mooring ball and then dinghy everyone into shore. Your Captain will rent a truck and be your chauffer around this island created entirely from coral. Anegada is characterized by its nearly flat elevation, the striking coral reefs that surround it, secluded sandy beaches and clear springs bubbling from coral beds. The wildlife that is native to Anegada is as stunning as it’s white sand beaches. Lobster dinner on Anegada is a Must. Indulge in fresh Caribbean lobster pulled straight from the sea at The Wonky Dog or Anegada Reef Hotel.
(Optional add-ons: Boat tour to see flamingos, conch island, and snorkel the horseshoe reef, Bone Fishing, or private Kiteboarding lessons) (Heading North East)
Day 6: Start your day with breakfast at Neptune’s Treasure on Anegada. Once you’re back on the boat and ready to go we will motor down to Sandy Spit off of Jost Van Dyke. This tiny, uninhabited island has been known as the “Corona Island” ever since one of the famous beer commercials was filmed there. Swim in to shore and explore this half acre sized island or relax on the beach with a Corona in your hand. If there is a North swell that day, we can head to Jost Van Dyke and hike to the Bubbly Pool, a small cove surrounded by rock cliffs known for its crashing waves that create a natural fizzy bath. Next, we will make the short trip over to Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke and secure a mooring ball for the night. That evening head to shore and have dinner at the famous Foxy’s Bar.
Day 7: After breakfast on the boat we will head around the corner to White Bay, Jost Van Dyke where you will spend your last full day of the trip. Spend the entire day relaxing in the crystal clear Caribbean water or lounging on the pristine white sand beach. Bars and restaurants line the sandy shore of White Bay and you will have no shortage of food and drink options for the day. We recommend Hendo’s Hideout for dinner as they have a variety of traditional Caribbean food on their menu.
Day 8: This morning we will head South West as we sail back to the USVI. Your taxi driver will be awaiting your 10 am drop off at American Yacht Harbor. Take our complimentary ride to the airport or spend the rest of the day exploring St. Thomas.
